Raised as a priestess, Layla is a master of herbs and astrology. After her grandmother's death, she was left in the care of Manna, a Roma woman whose guidance helped her enter a prestigious medical school.
However, she was bullied there for her background, and Layla was disciplined after retaliating with her whip. On her way home, the Outbreak struck.
Layla fought through the Infected with her whip, determined to find Manna and return to her people. A genius once mocked as a freak can finally thrive in this savage new world.
